Concrete Educational Seminar During the coming winter months, concrete educational seminars will be held throughout the state at WV Division of Highways District Headquarters. The seminars are designed for city and county project managers and designers, engineers, contractors, consultants, and those interested in increasing their knowledge about new concrete technologies. Each seminar will be held from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. at WV Division of Highways' District Headquarters, with the exception of Districts 7 / 8 which will be held at the Equipment Division in Buckhannon. A schedule for each district seminar is as follows: January 13, 2010 District 6 - Moundsville January 14, 2010 District 3 - Parkersburg February 3, 2010 District 9 - Lewisburg February 4, 2010 District 10 - Princeton February 17, 2010 District 7/8 - Buckhannon March 3, 2010 District 4 - Clarksburg March 4, 2010 District 5 - Burlington March 9, 2010 District 2 - Huntington March 10, 2010 District 1 - Charleston Visit <http://www.transportation.wv.gov/HIGHWAYS/DISTRICTS> for information on WVDOH districts, including headquarters addresses and counties served. Cost: $25.00 Topics: Full depth recycling Miss Utility / Project Coordination Rapid Repair Concrete usage Flowable Fill demonstration Each district will also have the choice of two of the following topics: Cold weather concrete, curing concrete, ultra thin whitetopping, basics of concrete testing, pervious concrete, and hydration control admixtures.
