"Hard at Work"
   For Future Workforce

CAWV members have been joining in the national effort to encourage younger generations to look at the construction industry as a positive career opportunity.

For the third year, a Careers in Construction seminar program was held at EXPO for students enrolled in a construction curriculum from area vocational and technical schools.

Approximately 300 students from arad vocational schools attended the career day program.
CAWV members spoke to the students about career opportunities, job responsibilities, skills and education needed to perform jobs in the construction field.

The program was designed to give these children the chance to network and meet with professionals in the industry.

Many other members have been attending career days and providing field trips to work sites to help younger people gain a better understanding as to what the construction industry has to offer.
