Support Six-Year Reauthorization of Transportation Programs with Increased Investment and Sound Policy Changes to Meet America's Transportation Needs
CAWV requests West Virginia’s delegation support enactment of a six-year transportation reauthorization with significantly increased funding focused on national priorities this year. Two national commissions and countless other expert panels have concluded that an increase in the federal motor fuels tax is the best means of funding highway and transit projects. The nation’s transportation infrastructure needs an increase in the federal motor fuels tax.
Create a Clean Water Trust Fund
The CAWV respectfully requests that West Virginia’s Congressional delegation support a dedicated, stable source of funding for our nation’s water infrastructure needs.
Total Repeal of the 3% Withholding Tax
Amending the IRS Code to Remove the Volume Cap on Private Activity Bonds for Water and Wastewater Infrastructure
H.R. 1802 and S. 939 amends the IRS code of 1986 to provide that the volume cap for Private
Activity Bonds shall not apply to bonds for facilities for the furnishing of water and sewage facilities. CAWV urges West Virginia’s delegation to support this jobs creating legislation.
Support Full Funding for Safe Drinking and Clean Water State Revolving Fund
The CAWV supports restoring full funding for the Safe Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) and the Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) loan programs.
