The CAWV is the state chapter of the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of America and the American Road and Transportation Builders Association (ARTBA). Founded in 1923, the association serves contractors who perform commercial building, utility, industrial, highway and heavy construction throughout the state of West Virginia. The CAWV represents nearly 500 construction-industry businesses.

 

AGC and ARTBA work on a national level to affect legislation that will have a positive impact on the nation’s construction industry. The CAWV does the same on the state level. Whether by ensuring the appropriateness of government regulations, increasing or maintaining funding levels, or building relationships with federal contracting agencies, the associations’ work is focused on establishing and maintaining a healthy construction industry.

Membership Categories


 

 

Contractor Membership

 

 

Contractor members are those who submit bids directly to owners or their agents. This category also includes contractors who usually contract to general contractors or owners for a portion of the project or other specialized work.

 

 

Contractor membership dues are $950 annually, plus volume dues. **

Associate Membership

 

 

Associate members are those who supply products and services, equipment, material or supplies to a contractor. Some examples include pipe suppliers, banking institutions, equipment dealers, law firms and design companies.

 

 

Associate membership dues are $625 annually.

***New applications should be submitted with a check for the full amount of the first year’s dues.

Upon renewal in January, dues will be prorated a 1/12 rate (monthly) and any remaining

balance will be applied toward the next year’s dues.
