Construction Leadership Program
The CAWV has created the Construction Leadership Program to educate young professionals on the many perspectives and tools of the construction industry. The program focuses on maximizing the leadership potential of young industry professionals to benefit them personally as well as the construction industry. The Construction Leadership Program is for any member that is in a leadership role or could possibly be moving into a leadership position. The program is ideal for estimators, safety coordinators, operation managers, project managers, field resource coordinators, construction superintendents, and others in the construction field.
WHO SHOULD REGISTER: The Construction Leadership Program is for any member that is in a leadership role or could possibly be moving into a leadership position. The program is ideal for estimators, safety coordinators, operation managers, project managers, field resource coordinators, construction superintendents, and others in the construction field. This program is limited to 30 participants.
WHEN ARE COURSES: Courses will be held every other Thursday at varying times (breakfast and/or lunch will be provided). Classes will be held mid-January through mid-June. Course schedule and times will be subject to change based on speaker availability.
WHERE ARE COURSES: Locations will be held in different areas of the state based on the speaker and host of each course.
COURSE MATERIALS: Each participant will receive a program binder that will be used for the duration of the course program. Participants will use the binder to store handouts, notes, presentation slides, and more. The information gathered throughout the duration of the program can be used as a future resource.
ATTENDANCE: Each participant may only miss up to two courses to be eligible for graduation. Each participant may attend two courses via Zoom. Participants will receive calendar invites as well as a reminder two days before each course. Each calendar invite will include time, location, hosts, and speaker information.
SURVEYS AND THANK YOU NOTES: Each participant must complete a course survey and write a thank you note to each speaker at the end of each course. This will provide feedback to each speaker and the CAWV.
GRADUATION: Graduation will be held in July at the CAWV Annual Meeting General Business Session at The Greenbrier.
