Construction Leadership Program

Construction Leadership Program

The CAWV created the Construction Leadership Program in 2023 to educate young professionals on the many perspectives and tools of the construction industry. The program focuses on maximizing the leadership potential of young professionals to benefit them personally and professionally and enriches West Virginia's construction industry.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION: Registration for the Class of 2024 is closed. Registration for the Class of 2025 will open in October 2024.

WHO SHOULD REGISTER: The Construction Leadership Program is for any member in a leadership role or moving into a leadership position. The program is ideal for estimators, safety coordinators, operation managers, project managers, field resource coordinators, construction superintendents, and others in the construction field. This program is limited to 25 participants.

WHEN ARE COURSES: Courses will be held every other Thursday at varying times (breakfast and/or lunch will be provided). Classes will be held from mid-January through the end of May. Course schedule and times will be subject to change based on speaker availability.

WHERE ARE COURSES: Locations will be held in different areas of the state based on the speaker and host of each course.

COURSE MATERIALS: Each participant will receive a program binder that will be used for the duration of the course program. Participants will use the binder to store handouts, notes, presentation slides, and more. The information gathered throughout the duration of the program can be used as a future resource.

ATTENDANCE: Each participant may only miss ONE course to be eligible for graduation. Participants will receive a calendar invite for each course as well as a reminder two days prior. Each calendar invite will include time, location, hosts, sponsors, and speaker information.

SURVEYS AND THANK YOU NOTES: Each participant must complete a course survey and write a thank you note to the speaker at the end of each course. This will provide feedback to the speaker and the CAWV.

GRADUATION: Graduation will be held at the CAWV Annual Meeting at The Greenbrier on July 13, 2024.

COST: The cost is $1,000 for CAWV Members and $2,000 for Non-Members
