Weekly Newsletter
A timely and comprehensive publication listing projects out for bid, sent every Friday to member firms. It includes project type or scope of work, bid date and time, bidder's phone/fax numbers, highway letting information and bid results. Articles specific to West Virginia's construction industry and information on upcoming events and seminars are also sent to help you run your business more profitably.
Affinity Programs
The CAWV strives to offer programs and opportunities to ensure association members are at the top of their game. In response to difficult economic times, the CAWV, in conjunction with the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of America, is excited to announce the addition of several money saving programs for association members. We have negotiated programs to help members save money on office supplies through Staples, Petroleum Products fuel purchases, fleet management through General Truck Sales and Enterprise Fleet Management, Verizon Wireless Service* and BrickStreet workers’ compensation premiums*. These are in addition to the many AGC-sponsored discount programs. (*Contractor members only)
Planroom
The CAWV Plan Room is open to members 24-hours a day, seven days a week. Plans are acquired from architects, engineers, and local, state and federal agencies. No need for you to buy plans, put up plan deposits, wait in a contractor's office or deal with partial sets of plans and specs. The CAWV also operates an internet planroom through www.iSqFt.com. Subscribers to the service receive real-time updates and project information is changed, addenda notification, bidders lists and the ability to view full sets of plans and specifications.
Legislative / Lobbying
CAWV is a highly proactive force with a dynamic legislative program of specific goals to advance the interests of the construction industry.You have less taxation, more sensible regulations and more "say" in the government process thanks to CAWV.
HUB/PAC
The Highway/Utility/Building Political Action Committee is dedicated to promoting a political atmosphere in West Virginia in where the industry, America's largest employer, can thrive and prosper.

CAWV is run by contractors. As member partners, you have the opportunity to share the direction of your Association and the industry through the CAWV's twenty plus committees. From joint committees with architects, engineers and WVDOH, to safety and education, you tell us what is important to you.

Education
Throughout the year, the Association offers seminars on management, safety and industry trends, and information on state and federal agency regulatory changes affecting your company.The CAWV also works with the WV Division of Highways to provide technician refresher courses on aggregate, hot mix asphalt, nuclear compaction and portland concrete cement.
Safety Services
You can establish a company safety program, set up "tool box" safety talks, receive updates on standards, or begin a drug-free workplace program, all with professional assistance. Help your "bottom line" by ordering a Loss Prevention Manual, OSHA Standards publications or any of our many safety videos.
